PreK-8th Grade & Family Faith Formation

We are Catholic in all that we do at the Holy Angels Religious Education program. Our community shall pursue relationship with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in love and curiosity.

All families are welcome to register their children online for in-person classes that teach students to be disciples of Christ through invitation, interactive learning, community, prayer, service, sacraments, and liturgy in the Catholic Church. Pre-registration is required for children in Pre-K-8th grade, including children with special needs. (Separate programs are available for high school students; see also our Youth Ministry page.)

For CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine, otherwise known as “PSR” [Parish School of Religion] or Religious Education) Holy Angels uses a family catechesis model to assist, equip, and encourage families to nurture the faith at home in addition to group sessions so families can get to know each other, participate in the religious education of their children, and learn more about our faith together. We utilize the Sophia Institute’s “Family of Faith” curriculum with supplemental curricula around Theology of the Body, virtues, and the Sacraments. Holy Angels catechists partner with parents where parents are encouraged to stay on the Holy Angels campus for adult catechesis while children are catechized separately in their respective classrooms.

The cost of the program is $50 per child with a max of $150 per family to cover classroom materials, however, cost should never be an obstacle to participation. Please reach out to us directly if accommodations are needed. Classes are taught by volunteer teachers (catechists) involved in ongoing development and approved by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Child Protection Decree.

Sundays (every other week), 10:30AM - 11:30AM, September 13 - May 9. 

Preparation for Sacraments of Initiation After Baptism 

First Reconciliation and First Communion: 2nd Grade year
Confirmation: 8th Grade year

- Confirmation (8th grade): Sunday, Sunday, March 14, 2027, 11:00AM at Holy Angels Church (includes students from Holy Angels CCD, Holy Angels School, and Homeschooled Confirmandi).

Homeschooling

Parents may choose to teach the faith at home. Please contact us if you would like help with finding curriculum used by Holy Angels Church.

Volunteering 

Please contact us if you, or someone you know, has an interest in volunteering to serve the Holy Angels parish with youth ministry as a catechist, co-catechist, aide catechist, substitute catechist, or general volunteer (time, treasure, and/or talent).
